I would just like to thank all those who work regardless of the day or occasion. Some of those would be our military, 911, police, fire, EMS, hospital staffs, newspapers and even the trash truck that comes early on Monday mornings. All these people make our lives better.
8-12-10 -- It sure has been nice and warm and toasty here this summer. How about where you are?? Even some of these days are too hot for Jenny. Thank goodness for AC. I have tried not to say too much about the heat because I really don't like cold, cold weather.
7-2-10 -- Here's wishing you a great 4th. Enjoy your time off, share it with family and friends. Remember it is the small things in life we do that we remember in years to come.
6-24-10 -- Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, since it officially began the 21st of this month. We have definitely been having summer weather here. But I'm not going to complain. Just thanking God that I have air conditioning.

4-10-10 -- I love this time of year, with all the flowers and trees blooming. Of coarse that also means the weeds seem to grow faster than the grass. I remember when I was a young girl my dad would make me and my sister dig the dandelions up out of our lawn. Also we had to trim next to the house where the lawnmower didn't reach. Where was weed killer then???
3-25-10 -- It doesn't seem like it has been a month since I have posted here. Where has it went. When I was younger my grandmother told me the older you get the faster time flys. Okay so now I believe her. And I'm passing it on. Believe it.

1-20-10 -- Took Jenny to have her nails clipped. She knows where she is going the minute we pull in the parking lot. Animals are so smart. Don't you wish you knew what they were thinking??? It seems Jenny is a little over weight. I am going to have to cut down on her crackers -- which includes breads, cookies, cake, french fries, nachos, etc. All the good stuff. Sounds just like us humans, doesn't it.
1-11-10 - Facebook --- We now have a facebook page. There are two Piedmont Kart Shop, Inc. facebook pages. The one that says it is the official facebook page is the correct one. I have no idea how the other one got on facebook. I have asked that the other one be taken down, but it still remains. Look us up and be a fan!
1-01-10 - Happy New Year -- My wish for you is a better year than 2009. We are closed today but will be back on Monday to start a new year and hopefully a brighter one.

9-4-09 Have a Safe and Fun Labor Day Weekend -- We will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7th and be back at work on Tuesday. Have a great weekend.
8-27-09 Jungle Jenny -- Last weekends esposide with Jenny. Jenny, the parrot, my buddy, is not the usual parrot. She does not fly, unless she gets startled and then only a short distance. Her wings are not clipped. I think she has forgotten that birds are suppose to fly. I sometimes sit her in a tree outside on the lower limbs, so the local dogs that roam will not get to her. I have been doing this all summer. Well, Saturday morning about 11:00 she had a bath and I sat her outside to dry. I went to get her for lunch and you guessed it, she was in the top of this tree. This nice tall oak tree. She stayed up there all day. My neighbor, Joan, who walks her dog, Archie, and I walk with Jenny came by Saturday evening. Jenny still wouldn't come down. Joan suggested calling the fire department. I didn't want to do that because I will have to explain that I put her in the tree to begin with. So we walk and Jenny stays in the tree. It is now getting dark and I still can't get her down. So Jenny camps out in the tree Saturday night. Finally Sunday morning she has had enough freedom and decides to climb down. Glenn suggests that I not put her in the tree again. I probably want, at least not a tall, tall oak tree.
8-14-09 Website Move Successful -- We have successfully moved to a new hosting domain. Orders are now going through so placing orders online is now back up. Thank you for your patience and we appreciate your business.
8-13-09 Moving Website -- A few weeks ago we attempted to move our website to a new hosting domain. That was not successful. So we are now in the process of trying again. 7-29-09 Website Down This Weekend. -- Just wanted to let everyone know that our website will be down from Friday night, July 31st until Monday, August 3rd. We are moving to a new hosting domain. 4-23-09 I have a friend whose daughter and husband are missionaries in Tanzania, Africa. They are with Wycliffe Bible Translators and their job is to put Scripture into audio/visual form for ten of the minority languages around the town of Mbeya. I keep up with them through their website. It is amazing to read about their lives there. So many things we take for granite everyday is a luxury to them. I have also learned a lot about Africa. 4-16-09 Who is Jenny? Jenny is the shop mascot. She is a yellow naped amazon parrot. You can see a picture of her if you look on our Contact Page. She hangs around the shop and keeps us straight. Jenny is my sidekick. She comes to work most everyday. She loves to ride and be outside. I've had Jenny for 2 1/2 years. She has had several previous owners. I'm not sure exactly how old she is but she is definitely in her 20's. But you would think she is older than that because she likes gray haired men. I think she probably lived with one at some point in her life.
4-14-09 I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend. We had really nice weather most of the time. I made it thru Monday and the first day back after a long weekend. Whew!!
4-9-09 We are going to be closed Friday, April 10th. Hopefully to have one of those nice long weekends. The only problem I have is I try to cram everything I can into those days. Like doing extra things around the house and in the yard. Then I'm glad to get back to work so I can rest. Are you like that?
